Office Extension and Workshop

A Great Yarmouth company contracted IES to handle the design and installation of the electrical and data cabling requirements of their purpose built office extension and work shop.

As the facility would be used by several departments, the first stage of the work was to consult with all the stakeholders to ensure that the final design would meet the required load demands.

The work involved organising the supply and installation of a new 300Amp 3 phase incomer cable. New mains room distribution equipment for both the general electrical requirements and the A/C units were then added.

The building incorporated computer power outlets and an integrated data system. By using a propriety trunking and power pole cable management system, we were able to supply each outlet and position with both electrical and data services. This provided a tidy solution suitable for both the office and workshop environment.

IES also carries out works for local housing associations, landlords, builders, housing agents, warehouses, offices, amusement arcades, ship yards, public houses, hotels, factories, shops, storage areas and homes of multiples occupation and redevelopment projects such as rewiring.

Vessel Support

The company is also experienced in undertaking wiring changes and the installation of equipment to small survey vessels. For example IES provided these services to Gardline Marine Sciences Ltd when it worked on the Melanie D, which is a 8.5m catamaran used for nearshore survey work and offshore wind support services.
